2009 Convention Program
Our Program features
interesting seminars on carnival glass, a great
auction of classic carnival glass, our Display
Room, an entertaining banquet, the Midnight
Hospitality Room, and plenty of surprises.
There is a registration fee of $10 per person
for this event. Seminars for this
convention include:
-
"Magnificent Marigold"
- This theme for our convention includes our
Display Room (planned and executed by Carl
and Eunice Booker), as well as a full
seminar on the beautiful-yet-broad appeal of
the most common color produced in carnival
glass. The seminar, given by master
antique collector and dealer
Gary Lickver,
will focus on the beautiful differences
between pastel marigold, pumpkin, clambroth
and other variances in the color, as well as
incredible rarities in this color. You
will walk away from this display and seminar
with a different perspective on marigold.
Download the form if you are
interested in submitting glass for display.
-
"Carnival Glass Mugs"
- Take a look at the different
manufacturers, patterns and colors available
in classic carnival glass mugs.
Presented by Roger
Dunham, a lifetime collector of
carnival glass mugs, this presentation will
help you pick out the rare from the common
(which can be surprisingly difficult in
carnival glass mugs.)
-
"Minor Manufacturers"
- The majority of carnival glass reference
materials focus on the "Big 5" carnival
glass manufacturers: Fenton, Imperial,
Dugan, Northwood and Millersburg. But
what about the dozens of other manufacturers
of carnival glass?
Carl Booker
will demonstrate the beauty, rarity and
value found in manufacturers such as U.S.
Glass, Westmoreland and so many more.
You may be surprised to find just how many
manufacturers are represented in your own
collection.
